Fossil teapot
This piece depicts a porcelain skull as a teapot with a cast gas pump handle and spout. It connects the 18th century discovery of fossils and a genre of 1750 Staffordshire fossil pattern teapots to our 21st century addiction to fossil fuels, evoking the foreboding idea of a human fossil.
