Long ikebana form
Carved from a solid block of clay using planer blades and wood chisels, this piece was created with the intention of being used in conjunction with ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging. The piece was fired in an electric kiln to Cone 10. The colour of the oblong vase comes from the copper glaze used.
