Lacquered desktop bank of drawers

This small, simple dovetailed carcass from larch is lacquered with wiped urushi. The deep, rich and dark red contrasts with the dreamlike brown, grey and beige and swirls of the four drawer fronts that are cut from a small log of yew wood.
