The wind-Up Bird Chronicle

This is one of the 24 interior illustrations that Jesús Sotés created for the deluxe edition of the novel The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by the Japanese writer Haruki Murakami. It is an illustration that frames the protagonist in a rigid, die-cut design. The narrative follows the protagonist as he becomes involved in strange events alongside unique characters, halfway between reality and fantasy.
