Virtual Museum #4

This is a lit-up wall installation reflecting the silhouettes of objects produced in Faenza in the 15th and 16th century. Antonella Cimatti has produced ceramic silhouette replicas of these pieces and thanks to under-lighting creates a conceptual optical illusion. "I use an advanced ceramic material to create patterns that through shadows reproduce objects made in Faenza in the Renaissance, a sort of virtual museum where past meets future,” she explains.
