Kontu Kontari
This work intertwines latxa and carranzana wool, linen, and corn leaves, honouring Basque material traditions. It revives techniques such as corn husk plaiting and wool tuft hooking, a technique which is carried out today with the tufting gun. As such, the piece blends art and craft, while focusing on recycling and the legacy of women’s textile work.
