41 standing crosses

Originally, the cross was said to be a men’s pattern. However, once men stopped wearing kimonos, the smaller crosses shifted to be used as a feminine pattern, combined with a blue and navy striped background. The name of this pattern comes from the 41 standing crosses that adorn the width of this weave.
