Malkoak means tear in Basque. These two drop-shaped beech boxes were inspired by Yann Marot, Aitor Martínez' master teacher, and are a tribute to his work. Their sculpted tails appear to be rising to seek the light. They were turned with dry wood between points and then cast by air turning. One was sculpted with a claw plate and the other partly covered with natural leather. They have an oil finish, as Aitor rarely paints or uses varnishes.
