Flax cloth bag
This linen bag is woven from Emmental flax in a linen weave. The tight weave and the number of threads per centimetre result in a firm fabric reminiscent of hay cloths. Individual gold-coloured silk yarns in the warp create a slightly golden iridescent effect. The selvedges are sewn together by hand using a mattress stitch. The hemstitch, through which a hemp cord is threaded, is sewn on with a decorative stitch in the same gold-coloured silk as the warp.
