This apron was completely handcrafted using different sorts of textiles like hemp, cotton and wool as well as metallic yarn and gold embroidery on birch bark. Grudka is a replica of a traditional pectoral adornment from the 19th century, worn by women of the Arkhangelsk and Vologda provinces.
