Potentiality II

This brooch, handcrafted from 100 percent silk habotai, is part of Georgia Gremouti's Golden Fleece series, a thematic trilogy based on the life cycle. An array of seeds are encapsulated within the silk. The potential and promise carried within a seed, before the actual germination phase, was the inspiration for this body of work. The circular progressive rhythm is constructed in a series of expanding forms coloured in a spectrum of earthy tones to suggest movement.
