Raku ceramic vase repaired with urushi lacquer and gold dust, according to the Japanese tradition of kintsugi. The vase is slightly bent, resembling a person with a bowed head. The person seems fragile and humble but strong and courageous at the same time. Gold serves as a sign of respect for what is both broken and capable of rebirth.
