Bones

This sculpture is woodturned and carved from a single block of ash wood. It has been worked on the wood lathe and hollowed out in a regular way. Various tools were used to create the pattern, including rotary cutters and rasps, grinders and hand tools. The piece is finished with a matte varnish to preserve the natural colour.
