Craft your own sfojo disc

For those eager to discover Venetian wood, Lunardelli Venezia offers an 80-minute workshop on briccola wood, which is shaped by the lagoon and sourced from Venice's oak poles. This experience begins with a guided tour of the atelier, leading into hands-on crafting where you will sand, polish, and shape your own sfojetto, the most popular item from Lunardelli Venezia's collection. A sfojetto is a fragment of the sfojo, a horizontal section of briccola that reveals, in its cross-cut, the inner most soul and secrets of the piece of wood sculpted by the sea. Through sanding, waxing and laser engraving, you will feel the tenacious resilience of this natural material in your hands. At the end of the session, you will take home the piece you have completed: a sophisticated and eternal fragment of Venice, shaped by your own gesture. Please note that this workshop needs to be booked at least four days in advance and costs 100 EUR per person.
