Discover the making process

The guided visit of the Jatafarta workshop by Edita Rodríguez Oca is held in Galician or Spanish during the winter months. Visitors have the chance to see the whole process of making a piece, from the choice of material to the finishing touches. Edita shows the steps involved in the manufacture of a piece, as well as the tools and small machinery used. Jatafarta workshop is located in the city of Santiago de Compostela, very close to the historical centre. The city is known as the culmination of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route and is supposed to be the site of the remains of the apostle Santiago (Saint James the Great).
