Learn how to create your own bird

Starting with a demonstration of the pattern creation process, Abigail takes participants through the initial stages of cutting and sewing fabric to assemble the bird body, inserting the wire armature and stuffing to fill out the form. Following wire shaping and soldering to form the beak, legs and feet, participants will be shown a variety of fabric manipulation techniques to decorate their bird sculpture however they wish, working with a huge variety of fabrics and threads Abigail will provide. Each participant will leave with one finished fabric bird sculpture.
