Metalworker Woosun Cheon creates vessel forms inspired by traditional Korean ceramics. His experimental pieces are worked with metal wire, almost as if he is sketching lines with a pencil. Linear experimentation in this mode is at the core of his practice. Each wire is welded with extreme precision, reflecting Woosun’s mastery of the discipline. He holds a BFA and MFA in major metal craft from Kyonggi University in Seoul and has been widely exhibited internationally. He was a finalist in the 2023 Loewe Craft Prize, and his work is held in private collections in South Korea and the USA.
