Mouhtaridis Silk Line is one of Soufli’s last manufacturer's specialising in the production of silk fabric and embroidery. Formerly a blooming industry, the tradition of silk remains strongly associated with the northern Greece region. Silk Line was founded by Athanasios Mouhtaridis, who stepped into the local tradition with his one and only loom, back in 1963. The business rapidly became a leading company in Greece, with traditional expertise and quality at its heart.

In 2011, Mouhtaridis' son, Konstantinos, took over the manufacturer. At the helm, he has opened the company up to new customers in search of master craftsmanship. Silk Line's close collaboration with the rising Greek fashion label Zeus & Dione, as well as their collaboration with luxury suppliers from Europe has greatly benefited the business, and as a result it led to the preservation of the local tradition.
