Prolific colourful prints
Between 1657 and 1861, the city of Bassano del Grappa was famous for being home to the impressive publishing firm, Remondini. With the fall of the Venetian republic, Remondini was sold off to various manufacturers after 200 years of activity. In 1957, Giorgio Tassotti revived the craft and presented hand coloured prints at Grafiche Tassotti. By the 1970s, they expanded the catalogue to include more than 2,000 items. "Today, our ambition is to become a creative printmaking laboratory, where expert artisans make refined and exclusive pieces," explains Giorgio.
Grafiche Tassotti is a family company operating in Bassano del Grappa from its own production plant. All objects in the Tassotti catalogue, from decorative and gift papers to art prints, canvas, stationery items, greeting cards and precious, numbered editions are made entirely at the workshop's premises. At the heart of every Tassotti collection lies a meticulous process of graphic design and craftsmanship, originating from original hand painted watercolours or from decorative motifs drawn from the Grafiche Tassoti's historic archive.
