Founded in 2022 by husband and wife team Rémi Paringaux and Kate Neal, Commune is a British self-care brand based in the rolling hills of Somerset. Commune draws on ancient herb-lore and the craft of natural perfumery to reconnect to a slower way of living, offering a range of intentionally designed self-care products. Inspired by the mysticism ad quit energies of the land, their approach is shaped by the character of rural England and the architectural heritage of Somerset, with its vaulted cathedrals and immersive stone ruins. Influenced by British Gothic forms and the textures of ancient buildings, each bottle is designed to be a lasting object, with recyclable materials chosen to reduce environmental impact.

Commune offers a range of home and body products, from washes to home fragrances. The studio’s signature scent, Seymour, takes its name and inspiration from the surrounding countryside, capturing its fresh, herbal and earthy notes with hints of grapefruit and lemongrass, softened by geranium and lavender, and grounded in cypress and hiba wood. Through considered materials and locally inspired fragrance, Commune brings a sense of place to everyday rituals.
