Ama mask

Inspired by the Noh play called Ama, this mask tells the story of a female diver who drowns retrieving a lost jewel. Transformed into a dragon spirit, she seeks salvation. The piece contrasts her human form with her dragon transformation, symbolising her quest for redemption.
