An-Bar

The Sumerian term An-Bar is the oldest word designating iron and is made up of two pictograms designating 'sky' and 'fire'. Presented for the first time in 2019 at the Milan Triennale, this An-Bar sculpture by Alessandro Rametta is refers to the formation of craters produced from the impact of a meteorite on planets or satellites. It is a piece that evokes at once duality and union.
