Introductory pottery class in Dublin

Elaine Fallon offers two workshop options for beginners at Brookwood Pottery. The workshop includes a tour of the pottery, showing you behind the scenes of the making process. Depending on which option you select, you will create a unique plate, tea light or small pot. A small class means expert tuition and support during your workshop. Your best creations will be fired and available for you to take home 4-6 weeks after your class. Enjoy a full day at Brookwood Pottery where you will spend the morning on the potter's wheel and the afternoon making a beautiful botanical plate. Experienced tutors will go through the steps to make a pot, guiding you through the process of centring, opening out and throwing the walls of your very own masterpiece. With a small class of five people, each participant will have their own electric wheel to work at. A great experience for beginners and a day to remember. Each participant will go home with two hand thrown pots and one plate which will be fired at the studio. Pieces are ready for collection 4-6 weeks after your class.
