Weave a support for a climbing plant
1 day Max 6 people£120 per personUsing the beautiful native willow, locally grown and freshly harvested in her half-acre plot near her home, Annemarie O’Sullivan teaches participants how to create a spiralling weave and make a plant support. The plant supports made during the day are great for supporting sweet peas and other climbing plants and all the techniques used during the course are helpful for other willow garden projects. The course covers how to use a simple wooden former to make the structure, how to select materials, how to create a strong spiralling weave and how to bind the support using cranked willow. Time permitting, there will be the opportunity to make a second smaller structure. All the materials are included, as well as a vegetarian lunch. Suitable for beginner and intermediate basketmakers.
