The basics of clay modelling
2 hours Max 6 people25 euros per personFor Robbie Mazzaro, crafting ceramics is almost a meditative practice, one that allows her to express her artistic creativity to the fullest. In this basic 2-hour experience she opens up her studio in Swieqi and introduces participants to the calming essence of clay-shaping. During the course, students will be taught how to model a clay object with handbuilt techniques, whether through coiling, slab or pinch, all using red earthenware. They will then apply decorative elements of coloured engobes, and the piece will be fired twice with a glossy finish.
