Wave Monolith

This work in Kondo’s iconic Monolith shape is made from marbleised porcelain, with the undulating patterns suggesting the movement of waves. The work has his unique surface finish “silver mist”. As a result, it looks as if it is covered in drops of water. Water is a central theme in Kondo’s work; he uses the changing states of water as a metaphor for the cycle of life
