Khwebz Dining Chair

Inspired by a tree's branches, the Khwebz chair is produced using a combination of hands-on carpentry skills guided by machine technology. The chair frame is created by using CAD to turn the design into individual components that are uploaded onto CAM software for CNC programming. This stage is when the pieces are physically produced by cutting out the components in solid ash wood on a CNC machine. The chair frames are assembled using half-lap joints, dowels and drilling holes for rails to join the final structure. Once complete, the pieces are oiled and the chair is finished with upholstery.
