Sharing traditions with ceramics and textiles

Established in 2015, Arran Street East is a craft and design studio based in the markets area of Dublin city centre. The studio produces pottery and woven homewares. Each piece is individually made by hand using locally inspired colours and materials. The pottery and textile pieces are designed to mix and match, yet no two items are exactly the same. They are made using traditional techniques such as wheel throwing, and weaving on floor and frame looms. With strong lines and crisp handles, Arran Street East ceramics bring clean, architectural lines to a traditional craft. The woven pieces use 100% Donegal yarn wool which is both hard-wearing and beautifully soft.

The studio creates functional, attractive objects that can be used every day in the home. Sustainability is at the heart of the business and the artisans strive to make their methods, materials and packaging carbon neutral and environmentally friendly. They also share their passion for the handmade through year-round workshops and courses at the studio.
